The clock is ticking on a tax-free Internet. On November 1, 2007, the moratorium on a tax-free Internet will expire, and Democrats like Mary Landrieu have objected to making this ban permanent. Please join Senate Republicans in working towards a PERMANENT ban on taxing the Internet and avoiding the massive tax increases Democrats have already proposed.

If the Democrats would acknowledge the successes of the Bush Administration, it would be something. Domestic policy successes, foreign policy, even the War on Terror - Dems downplay, even fear success. Especially on issues they consider "their own"... the environment, jobs, economy, stem cell research, AIDS relief, the war on terror...

Senate Democrats vote today to eliminate workers' rights to a secret ballot and give big labor bosses exactly what they demanded as payback -- a vote on the Card Check bill. Watch the Democrats giving their thanks to union rally goers for their current majority, or in Democrat Senator Joe Biden's words, "I will be completely candid about that," he said. "I would not miss that vote because of the importance to labor."

My name is Zina Nicole Lahr. I am 17 years old and I live in a very small town in Colorado (no stop lights kind of small) called Ouray. I want "Save A Life" not to lean anywhere politicly, but simply make a growing issue known. I wanted to make a film about an issue that seems to be overlooked. I wanted to use not much more than a pen, ink, and a sketch pad to make my point known.

Advances in technology and communication have allowed for a huge boom of social networks, from facebook to myspace to any of the millions of blogs that populate the internet. But how social are these networks? While no one can deny the advantages they have supplied, there is always the danger of becoming lost in the myriad of groups and so-called "friendships." We should realize that we are part of a real world, with real relationships all around us, and if we don't log off every once in awhile, we won't be able to connect with it.

Hey, my name is Curt Pennington, I'm 23, and I'll be attending film school later this year. My goal with this film was to make something with much more meat than a simple PSA or plotless short - for better or worse, I tried to encapsulate a real story and characters into a 60 second vignette that made its point with poignancy.

I’m 19 from NJ and a 1st-year college student in a small engineering school, but my passion is film. I believe that human being is alive from the moment of conception, thus abortion is murder and a serious issue that I feel compelled to expose through creative mediums since it murders thousands each year. Millions of brave soldiers have died over the years fighting for their country to give their fellow citizens freedom. The number of soldiers who've died in all these wars is astronomical, and must be remembered lest they died in vain. Another astronomical number of deaths (if you believe they're alive) is the number of unborn babies killed in order for women to have the "Freedom of Choice". In thirty short years, the number of deaths is mind-boggling and disheartening. I believe the gut-wrenching and incomprehensible number of lives that have been lost, generations and generations of human beings, must also be remembered.

It's easy to forget that the devastation we humans are wreaking on the environment will have deadly consequences, because most of those drastic effects won't be felt for years down the line. Easy, that is, until we consider that the world we're destroying is the world that our children will be inheriting. This film was made by Jamie Walker, 22, and Julie Moffa, 24, two impassioned filmmakers, environmentalists and frequent war-protesters from Pittsburgh, PA. Voters tell us they'd rather elect a candidate that agrees with them on key issues than just someone with a good image. But it's difficult for busy people to research where candidates stand on the issues. We developed www.dontvote.com to drive voters to one place where they hear from the candidates themselves where they stand on issues of importance to our members and their families, like the long-term strength and solvency of Social Security and making health care affordable for all Americans.
